I am currently lecturer and researcher at the University of Barcelona, and I am a member of Language Acquisition Research Group (GRAL). My research interests include second language production and interaction, task design (with a focus on needs analysis, task complexity, linguistic difficulty, automation of design), oral and written CAF, and personalization and adaptivity in serious games. I have worked on a Spanish Ministry project on the effects on early vocabulary learning of captioned video under different TV genres .  I have led a group of researchers from the University of Barcelona within a Horizon 2020 project led by University College London, where we worked on the development of reading skills through adaptive and integrated technologies (iRead project https://iread-project.eu/). I am currently working on a  Spanish Ministry project on an automated task design generator (taskGen) that assists teachers and task/syllabus designers with task design.
